Books and Gin

I was at the Oxford Literary Festival a week or so ago. I went to hear a talk which I thought was really quite splendid.

I haven’t ever been to the festival and had I now known about this talk I am not sure I would have even known it was on!  It was quite delightful walking around the tent in Christ Church Meadows looking at books. The internet seems to get my custom when it comes to literary works and I realised how much I miss out on being able to see books in the flesh.

It wasn’t just about books in terms of paper either. It was also about Gin.
