Slightly damp?
not that I noticed. It was wet in the morning, but by the time I got there it seemed to have dried up. I suppose it may have been drizzling.
I think you may have found another famous boater amongst the Morris Men, Chris Deuchar who wrote the series on single handed boating and also a book "Better Boating"

Adamm they are Aelfgythe I thought... they had blacked out faces and were all women! I would like to see Amaleggan though.
Chris Deuchar a morris dancer... I wonder if he was there in the crowd.
And I thought they'd be Wolfshead. How come there are so many Goth morris dancers and yet nobody ever talks about it? There's a dark secret for you.
