Ye Old Hands

I need some new motorbike gloves, as the ones I have just do not keep the warmth in. They are thermal with all the trims, but being 10 years old they might be passed it.

I travel about 11 miles into work, and my hands almost fall off 3 times during the journey. If you have a pair that works for you, let me know!

Sealskinz? Maybe underneath a bigger pair of gloves?

Hi

Have a search of Maplins, they have heated gloves, insoles and body warmers, do not know how good they are though, not having tried them.

You need inner gloves, too. Silk is the traditional material but I found polypropylene inner gloves kept my hands warmer. You can find them on the web or decent outdoor shops - not costly.

I have tried various undergloves etc, but to no avail. I dont like heated gloves, but I might try the silk ones.

With a 40mph wind chill I thought a good pair of gloves would be a good start!

A chap here rides his bike in a long way and says the gloves are the secret - but he cant remember the make of his!

Heated handlebar grips are the answer - wouldn't be without them in the winter (if I still had a bike!)
