Sorry to go on about this but I can't for the life of me see what is so special about you water pump. It looks very similar to the one one my MGBGT. Did you try a motor factors as chandlers are notorious(?) for their stupidity. It is fortunate indeed that you have to support of such good neighbours. Good luck with the rest of the winter.
yep, me too - I thought it would be easy, but the motor factors (which I came up with first) drew a blank. It looks SIMILAR to several, but it isn't them. I am sure someone will say it is the same as a erm... morris OXford or an austin Cambridge (or whatever it was), and if they do I will buy one so I have a spare!
