GORGEOUS BOAT

I think this is called Balhalla, but someone said it wasn't a 'B' but a 'W' so I am not sure. I don't often see boats that send me weak at the knees, but I thought this one was particularly spesh as it lay in Abingdon over the weekend:

It just holds so much mystery.

I am sure that you liked the flag with the skull and crossbones on the 'mast'. :-)

I agree with 'someone' that the B is probably a W and much less probably a V in a "Black Letter".

Surely Valhalla would make more sense?

I'm sure it is Valhalla. I was moored behind him at Crick 2 years ago.

I believe it's Walhalla, which is the German spelling of Valhalla. His home mooring is Stockton Top. I think the boat was also featured on WaterWorld.

Brian - I did!

I will have to look on waterworld and see if I can see the boat. I think it is absolutely beautiful. My knees still feel rather weak!

Hi Bones

I'm just writing a Canal Boat review of Valhalla's replacement -- a widebeam called Walhalla. A photo of the original boat would be useful, and an internet search reveals that yours are the best around! Would you mind if I lifted them?
