So, lent has started. I think I shall take up bailing my bilges and give up looking at them ever again.

Yuck - Adam once made a clafoutis with farine de blé, a spelt flour which is rather grey. It's GREAT for pancakes, but really didn't work outside its usual territory.
My family (apart from my elder niece who subsists on bread, jam, chips and chicken nuggets) attacked it with gusto, which was above and beyond the call of duty!
