The boat going backwards.
Both seem to be whistling as if the boat has nothing to do with them.
Maffi ‘so you think you can boat – go on then gal’
Molly ‘If you are speaking I am not listening’
The awkward moment where it seems to be working nicely.
Who needs a human for boating huh? Whose boat is it now? That should be MY name on there.
Bloody hooligan should know better than to move a boat without someone on the tiller. People like him give boating a bad name.
ReplyDeleteNOT true. it is common and normal practice to boat backwards very very slowly steering the boat from the bow with a punt pole.

ReplyDeleteMaffi told us that's how he went backwards (as taught him by a very old boater) but he didn't tell us he cheated by getting Molly to drive!! :-)
