Bikes in Cars

It is possible to fit a motorbike in a car without putting the back seat down!

  1. ... as long as you don't mind other seats getting dirty, judging from the photos!

  7. good innit!

    BSA Bantam with conflicting documents... could be D1 could be early D3.... I should know the difference, and in due course I will. I think it is a D1 though!

  8. Congratulations, it looks as though you even managed it without removing all the disused plastic bottles and other detritus which usually takes up at least a quarter of the car ...

    D1 = 125cc D3 = 150cc

    Might have a owners manual in the loft if you would like it.

  10. yeah. The documents say it is a d3 but the engine is a 125!! Or something like that!

    I would LOVE an owners manual if you have one. My dear Ma did buy me one but I can't find it after so much moving. The haynes manual I have rather typically swaps bike for the front forks!

  15. Is it a runner? or are big strip-downs in the offing?

  16. It is a runner, I have had it running a couple of times, but I started the project a LONG TIME ago, and for various reasons it ended up back in the shed.. until now.

    It needs to be taken apart again, cleaned up, and put back together. I think I will have a start this weekend.
