Today I am a triumph! In true pirate form I have conquered the waterways and have reversed to the end of the oxford canal!!!! HURRAH! I shall sit here for a while and be QUEEN.
AND Maffi and I have just pulled an aluminium glorious bicycle out of the canal.

I should like to point out my niece now believes she is, or wants to be, a pirate. We're not sure how this has happened, but it takes the practical form of her putting something on her head (cloth, book, anything will do) and declaring "Gracie is a pirate" to whoever will listen. I have a commission to find a small pirate hat to give it at least some bearing on reality.
