that is what one assumes they were trying to spell. I am afraid their departure goes un mourned to the local community. The pub was unpredictable and unwelcoming anyone they hadn't banned banned themselves before they were banned.
You weren't going to apologise because there wasn't anything to apologise for. They made you not welcome along with the rest of the village. I banned myself before I got banned... but I didn't like it there anyway is the staff were volatile. It is a shame.
Closed 4 What? (can't read it)
ReplyDeleteCan't they survive without Thrupp's main Guinness drinker? :-)
Closed for maintense. The locals don't drink there. They were made unwelcome.
ReplyDeleteIs that really how they spelled it?
ReplyDeleteAs a veteran Maintenance Engineer I am offended!
Yes. I haven't ever seen 'good' spelt that way.
ReplyDeleteThe picture is so small that I can't make out the name on the pub sign.
ReplyDeleteCan't read it either!!
ReplyDeletePlease allow magnification?
Sue
It is the boat inn, thrupp. It seems The current people have left and the pub is now closed
DeleteAm I to assume their loss is to go unmourned?
ReplyDeleteIf they couldn't even spell 'maintenance', then who ever takes the pub on will have their work cut out......

ReplyDeleteI wasn't banned I was aksed not to return until I was prepared to apologise to the staff. Yeah right like that was going to happen.

ReplyDeleteTime for a community pub?
ReplyDeleteIt would be brilliant if it was an independent pub! I don't suppose a community pub would work?
